Terms of Service

DKCarts is an online marketplace operated by Akilidex ("DKCarts", "we", "us"), based in Accra, Ghana. DKCarts connects customers with independent third-party vendors (kitchens, restaurants and shops) and provides last-mile delivery through bike and motorbike riders. By creating an account or placing an order you agree to these Terms.

Vendors list and sell their own products; DKCarts provides the platform, payment processing (via Paystack) and delivery. A contract of sale for the items is formed between you and the vendor. DKCarts is responsible for facilitating the transaction, coordinating delivery and handling payments and eligible refunds as described in these Terms.

• You must provide accurate information and keep your login secure.
• You are responsible for activity under your account.
• You must be able to form a binding contract to place orders.
• We may suspend accounts that breach these Terms or are used for fraud or abuse.

When you place an order, the vendor reviews and accepts it before preparing. If a vendor cannot fulfil an order (for example, an item is unavailable or the kitchen is closed), the order may be declined and you will be refunded any amount paid. Prices, delivery fees and availability are shown at checkout before you pay.

Payments are processed securely by Paystack. You can pay online by card or mobile money, or choose cash on delivery where available. DKCarts does not manually hold customer funds. Vendor and rider payouts are triggered automatically via Paystack Transfer the exact moment an order is marked as delivered on the platform. We do not store your full card details.

Orders are delivered by DKCarts bike and motorbike riders (some vendors may self-deliver). Delivery times are estimates and depend on distance, traffic and vendor preparation time. Please provide an accurate address and be reachable by phone so the rider can complete the delivery. See our Delivery Policy.

You can cancel an order before the vendor accepts it for a full automatic refund to your original payment method via Paystack. Refunds also apply to failed deliveries and vendor-declined orders. Full details are in our Refunds, Returns & Cancellations Policy.

You agree not to misuse the platform. Prohibited activity is described in our Acceptable Use Policy, and includes fraud, illegal goods, harassment, and attempts to disrupt the service.

Vendors and riders are independent and must complete our onboarding and verification before transacting. Vendors are responsible for the quality, safety and description of their products and for complying with applicable food-safety and consumer laws.

To the extent permitted by law, DKCarts is not liable for indirect or consequential losses. Our total liability for any order is limited to the amount you paid for that order. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under Ghanaian law.

We may update these Terms from time to time; continued use means you accept the changes. These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Ghana.
