Privacy Policy

This policy explains how DKCarts, a product of Akilidex ("we", "us"), collects, uses and protects your personal information when you use our website and apps. We handle personal data in line with the Data Protection Act, 2012 (Act 843) of Ghana.

• Account details: name, phone number, email and password.
• Order and delivery details: items, delivery address, landmarks and delivery notes.
• Payment information: processed by Paystack. We receive a payment reference and status — we do not store your full card number.
• Location: approximate or precise location (with permission) to show nearby vendors and enable live delivery tracking.
• Vendor/rider onboarding data: business details and identity/KYC documents for those who apply to sell or deliver.
• Usage and device data: app/website interactions and basic device information to keep the service secure and working.

• To process orders, payments, deliveries and refunds.
• To connect customers, vendors and riders and enable live tracking.
• To verify vendors and riders and prevent fraud and abuse.
• To provide support and send order and account notifications.
• To improve and secure the service, and to meet legal obligations.

We share personal data only as needed to run the service:

• With the vendor fulfilling your order and the rider delivering it (e.g. name, delivery address and phone as needed to complete delivery).
• With Paystack to process payments and refunds.
• With service providers who help us operate (e.g. hosting, SMS/email, mapping), under confidentiality obligations.
• Where required by law or to protect rights, safety and against fraud.

We do not sell your personal data.

We keep personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes above or as required by law, then delete or anonymise it. We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data; payment card data is handled by Paystack, a PCI-DSS compliant processor.

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, and you can opt out of non-essential communications. To exercise these rights, contact support@dkcarts.com.
